I met Terence Mckenna 12 years ago at the Omega Insitute, where I was attending one of the first Virtual Reality Conferences. OVer the years I went to several weekends at Omega, meeting VR pioneers like Jaron Lanier, and Myron Krueger, generally considered the father of the field.
As a founding member and co-president of the Boston Computer Society Virtual Reality Group, I was responsible for a membership over 500 people, organizing events, fund-raisers, trade shows the creation and deployment of virtual worlds such as Proyecto ESE; A virtual reality experience of the Aztec city of Techochtitlan. Exhibited in the Tomorrow’s Realities Gallery, ACM-SIGGRAPH 1993 in Anaheim, CA.
I found a library of audio interviews with Terence and his brother Dennis. On to my iPod Nano they will go.
