Myspace Launches IM Client

MySpace has soft-launched an instant-messaging client – MySpaceIM. How long until more people use MySpace IM than AOL, two weeks? This is a repeat of how Myspace video quickly overtook YouTube a few weeks ago.
Of course, MySpace IM is Windows only at the moment, supposedly based on MSN Messenger protocol.
Being able to IM your buddies even when you’re not logged into Myspace is huge. The possibilities for spIM (IM Spam) and pedophiles abuse are enormous. As with all things, the good always includes some of the bad.

I like MySpace a lot, but I really don’t like the IM client. Instead I use the eBuddy client at http://www.ebuddy.com. It’s very easy to use, everywhere available and you can even use different chats (like MSN, AOL, Yahoo etc). Highly recommended!
If you don’t like to install the myspace client, you can use a webbased version at http://www.ebuddy.com/#myspace
