BuzzLogic innovates in social influence space

From Read/Write Web:
BuzzLogic has unveiled a solution today which helps marketers keep track of social influence. Based on your topic of interest, BuzzLogic software turns the chaotic world of blogs and web sites into a network of flows of influence. The software finds top influencers, measures the weight or importance of each source, and shows you incoming and outgoing influence flows.
This is quite interesting. I’ve done a considerable amount of thinking and had discussions with several people about an application like this. Various precursors exist, but this feels like it’s got all the pieces and parts stitched together in a way that mere mortals can make sense of.
I’ll have a lot more to say about BuzzLogic after I get a taste of it.

sorry to be off-topic;
i’m writing an article for an italian publication; i’m looking for simple information regarding personals sites online. i’ve been to a lot of industry sites and haven’t found any constructive info…
if you could: what are the peak months in italy for new subscribers every year? what has been the percentage of growth in the market in the last several years?
some sites: match.com for example- seem to have different marketing strategies for different countries: the italian site boasts “more marriages” than any other site. weird, because italy has negative population growth– fewer people are getting married here than in almost any country in the world.
if there’s any info you could provide especially on how these sites are marketed in the english speaking world vs. italy, that would be great! thanks!
