I've had a play with SLeek and it works quite well (as far as it goes). Profiles and online-status of other residents don't work, but the inventory, chat and IM functions work fine. My biggest observation is that using SLeek is like being blind! You are aware of people nearby, and can speak to them, but have no idea what they look like. Similarly, you have no idea about your surroundings either. So your avatar could be making a fool of you whilst you are in world via SLeek.
For my review of SLeek, go to http://slmascot.blogspot.com/2007/03/what-it-feels-like-to-be-blind.html
