Trying New GTD Applications
Posted on January 11th, 2008 in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »
I’ve been spending time with Omnifocus and Things, trying to pick the GTD app that works best for me. Today I found out about Midnight Desktop, which is like Mail.app on steroids, and lets you store files along with email. All three applications are a bit rough around the edges, hopefully by the summer they will be stable and solid enough to use full time.

I am also looking at Things for my list manager. I really like the look and feel of it. I tried Midnight Inbox, but I did not like the fact that you had to use Mail and Safari to get the best use out of it. I was using Mail but have since stopped and am now using Mailplane to access my Gmail acct. I have never been a big fan of Safari, so that to was a bust for me.
Midnight Inbox is pretty far into development (it is also the oldest of the three apps). Not really sure what edges are rough about it.
Good luck on your search. I have written a GTD Primer that is located at http://urltea.com/2d99
