Fiber Tower and First Avenue Networks Announce Merger

The definitive agreement to combine the two companies in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $1.5 billion. The combined company will be named FiberTower Corporation.
First Ave up 25% to $12.04 on volume of 1.2 million shares.

SkypeOut now free in US and Canada

Skype has tossed down thw gauntlet. In an announcement today, the company announced that SkypeOut - the ability to call any landline or mobile number - is now available free through the end of the year to all U.S. and Canadian customers.

Integrating Feedburner With Wordpress

After messing around with several semi-functioning Feedburner plugins for Wordpress, I came across the aptly titled Feedburner Plugin 1.0 for WordPress. I’m still trying to figure out how to get the comment feed working but other than that install and you’re off. I wish more plug-ins were this simple.

Myspace Launches IM Client

MySpace has soft-launched an instant-messaging client - MySpaceIM. How long until more people use MySpace IM than AOL, two weeks? This is a repeat of how Myspace video quickly overtook YouTube a few weeks ago.
