Techdirt tells us that SGI may be a goner soon. Comments are worth reading. SGI was putting out amazing machines in the 90’s, but I was never a fan of the O2, we had one in the office in New York and it was fun to tinker with but that’s about it. I went to a meeting at SGI in 1996 when we were trying to convince them to give us money to build a VRML fly-through for Ticketmaster so people could see the view of the stage during seat selection process. I still have my Apple Newton with the SGI visitor badge on it.
