I hope my Powerbook doesn’t explode

My Powerbook had a battery recall and filled out all the forms. Apple says the new battery will be here in 4-6 weeks, in the meantime I’m supposed to remove the batter and run on A/C power. That is an insane amount of time to wait for a battery. Bad Apple.

Speed Demon

After 9 years of DSL, yesterday I finally switched to a cable modem from Comcast. Besides a hinky coax cable, the self-install went flawlessly and I didn’t have to install any of the stuff from the install CD.
I used to download about 180kb/second with Verizon DSL for $39.00. Now I get on anywhere from 700-1,500 [...]
