The Progress Bar

I put up with cranky MySql issues and various bugs during the Media Temple upgrade to Grid computing because the upside is going to be tremendous (bring on the Diggs!). MediaTemple now has an area on the website called (mt) Labs. If there is a better host than MT I haven’t found them and thats after hosting websites for 12 years.

My host, Media Temple, has had trouble moving MySQL to their new grid platform. This incredibly lucid explanation of the trouble they have had re-architecting the database system several times over showed up in my inbox this morning. Kudos to them for the transparency (if not a bit a delay explaining all of this to us laypeople.)
