The Progress Bar

My friend Stickman was over late last night, haven’t seen him since he tied the knot a few months ago. James and I go way back, having been roomates on several islands; Koh Phi Phi, Manhattan, Stockholm, and Plum. Stickman is doing a documentary on the Fisherman of Plum Island. Guess who’s on the cover holding a monster bass? One of these days I’m going put some of our travel stories on paper, starting with working together in NYC, meeting him 1/2 around the world on his backbacking trip, and on my last day of a two-week vacation in Thailand, ending up following a woman I just met to Bali (Lombok actually, think Bali 20 years ago, unspoiled), and living there for 4 months, during which time I built a website for her dive shop and was able to do some of the most incredible scuba diving for free every day in return. Those were the days.

My friends and I showed up in a new story about my favorite beach being closed due to pollution from last week’s storm. The water really wasn’t that bad. Link.
