I just read that a <a href="http://www.3pointd.com/20060602/create-sl-objects-in-blender-if-you-dare/">plug-in</a> for the open source Blender 3D modeling program has been developed which mimics Second Life&#8217;s building tool. I&#8217;ve been floating around SL for quite some time, maybe it&#8217;s time to get some land and build something. The problem with &#8220;things&#8221;, real or virtual, is that you have to maintain and protect them, something I have not wanted to get involved with lately, too much real life stuff going on. I was building virtual objects in Active Worlds almost 10 years ago and today I feel a bit of<br /> &#8220;been there done that&#8221; even though today&#8217;s graphics and physics are much better.
