Interesting article in the Times today about YouNoodle, which claims it can predict the success of startups. Telling point, they haven’t run themselves through their own system. I think the primary value of the site will be connecting people, the predictor sounds like a gimmick. I wonder what they are basing their analysis on, historical data?

First post in a week. Blame it on jury duty, spectacular weather, 150 miles on my bike and a new tennis racket. After a slower August the September blogosphere is white-hot. Subscribe to Techmeme is all I can say, the rest will become clear soon enough.

Local pick of the week: Cambridge, MA based Bang Ventures has launched â€œYou Be the VC,â€? a new web site where entrepreneurs can submit their Web-based business ideas and the public can vote on the oneâ€™s they like best. Via Mashable.

Love the concept, we’ll see about the execution.

Good to stuff into presentations, business plans and as fuel for your next â€œI’m gonna create the next big thingâ€? brainstorming session.
